Algeria

Mondelēz International is represented in Algeria by LU Algérie, which is a subsidiary of Mondelēz International. LU Algérie was created in October 2005 after a spin-off of the Danone and Tunisian Biscuits companies. In November 2007, LU Algérie became Kraft Foods, Inc. And in 2012, LU Algérie became the subsidiary of Mondelēz International.


LU Algérie owns a production site in Reghaia, an industrial part of the city, specializing in Biscuit manufacturing.


LU Algérie's main Category is Biscuits. The Company is the third largest player in the Algerian Biscuits market with the LU brand, leveraging on the global expertise of Mondelēz International. It produces products such as LU Croustille, LU Star, and LU Prince Goûter.

Australia

Our reputation is built on more than 100 years of local heritage with a rich legacy of iconic brands favoured by nearly every Australian household – Vegemite, Cadbury Dairy Milk, The Natural Confectionery Co. and Philadelphia just to name a few.


Our head office business is based in Melbourne, Victoria. We also have five manufacturing sites across Australia and sales offices in most states. Our colleagues work across RD&Q, manufacturing, marketing, sales, finance, customer service and logistics, human resources, legal, information services and corporate and government affairs.

China

Mondelēz China, formerly known as Kraft Foods China, was established in 1984. The Company has a long and rich history in the country, enjoying more than 30 years of creating delicious moments of joy for our Chinese consumers, especially with our products in the Biscuits, Chocolates, Gum, Candy and Powdered Beverages categories.


With its headquarters located in Shanghai, seven manufacturing plants are located across Beijing, Suzhou, Shanghai, Jiangmen and Guangzhou. We have over 5,000 employees across these various locations.​

Egypt

Mondelēz Egypt's presence dates back to 1998 as an importer of global products. The company globally and locally grew through strong acquisitions. The first acquisitions in Egypt started with Cadbury acquiring Bim Bim and Inco Gum, followed by Family Nutrition. A major acquisition came in 2010 when Cadbury was acquired globally. Currently, Mondelēz Egypt has three state-of-the art production facilities, focused on 4 categories and 14 brands: Cadbury Dairy Milk, Flake, Mavellous Creations, Cadbury Dairy Milk OREO, Bubbly, Moro, Tang, Oreo cookies, Tuc, Trident, Clorets, Chiclets, Eclaires and Halls. The Company also produces local brands such as Mandolin, Moro and Gersy. Mondelēz Egypt Foods is the market leader in Chocolates, Gum, Candy, and one of the major players in Powdered Beverages and Biscuits.

India

Mondelez India Foods Private Limited (formerly Cadbury India Ltd.) is a part of Mondelēz International, a world leader in Biscuits, Chocolates, Gum, Candy and Powdered Beverages. The Company in India operates in four categories – Chocolates, Beverages, Biscuits and Candy and is a Chocolate category leader. Cadbury Dairy Milk, Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk, Cadbury Celebrations, Cadbury Bournville, Cadbury 5 Star, Cadbury Perk, Cadbury Fuse, and Cadbury Gems are some of the Company’s Chocolates brands in India. The Company’s Powdered Beverages portfolio consists of Bournvita and Tang. Cadbury Oreo and Bournvita Biscuit are part of its Biscuits portfolio, and Halls and Choclairs Gold make up its Candy portfolio.


Headquartered in Mumbai, Mondelez India Foods Private Limited has sales offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, and manufacturing facilities at Thane and Induri (Maharashtra), Malanpur (Madhya Pradesh), Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) and Sri City (Andhra Pradesh).

Indonesia

Japan

Mondelēz Japan, a member of Mondelēz International, has been providing Gum brands such as Clorets, Recaldent, Stride and Candy brands such as Xylicrystal and Halls since 1960, utilizing global innovation as well as marketing expertise to respond to Japanese consumers’ needs. We launched our globally-loved biscuit brands, Oreo cookies, Ritz and Premium in 2016.

Malaysia

Morocco

Mondelēz International was represented in Morocco until September 2014 by Kraft Foods Maroc and Biscuiterie Industrielle du Moghreb (BIMO). In October same year, they became Mondelez Maroc. The Company owns two production sites dedicated to Biscuits in an industrial part of Casablanca, with a total annual production capacity of 65,7 million tons per year. It employs about 1,000 people and produces many much-loved brands for the Moroccan consumer, such as Oreo cookies, Tonik, Tagger, Tango, Merendina, Golden, Okey, Trident, Clorets and Halls. Mondelez Maroc is a leader in both categories in the Moroccan market.

New Zealand

With brands such as Cadbury, Pascal, Jaffas, Perky Nanas and Pineapple Lumps, our New Zealand business has a strong heritage and passionate consumers. Our head office is based in Auckland, with field sales operations stretched across both islands.

Nigeria

The origin of our company in Nigeria dates back to the 1950s. The business was founded to source cocoa beans and to enable the Company’s founders to tap opportunities for serving the local consumer market.


In the early 1960s, an initial operation was established to re-pack imported bulk products. This packing operation grew rapidly into a fully-fledged manufacturing operation and resulted in the incorporation of Cadbury Nigeria Limited in January 1965. In 1976, the firm became a publicly quoted company with shares traded locally on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Cadbury Nigeria Plc has grown to become a household name providing consumers with much-loved brands – Cadbury Bournvita and Cadbury 3-in-1 Hot Chocolate in the Powdered Beverage category, Cadbury TomTom (Classic, HoneyLemon and Strawberry variants) and Buttermint in the Candy category and Clorets and Trident in the Gum category.


Cadbury Nigeria is a leading player in Nigeria’s FMCG sector and the Company employs more than 600 employees who work across a range of functions.

Philippines

Launched on July 1, 2013, Mondelez Philippines is comprised of the global snacking and food brands of the former Kraft Foods Philippines. The Company has been making delicious food for the past five decades. Through the years, we continued to widen our portfolio of delicious brands with the well-loved Tang powdered beverage, Eden cheese, Cheez Whiz spread, Oreo cookies, and Toblerone and Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolates.

South Africa

Mondelez South Africa (SA) is the largest confectionery business in South Africa, enjoying market leadership in the Chocolates and Gum categories. The Company’s portfolio includes some of the largest snacking brands in the world, such as Cadbury Dairy Milk, Halls, Oreo and Stimorol gum. In addition, Mondelez SA is the custodian of iconic and well-loved local brands such as Chappies bubble gum, Chomp, Lunch Bar and Dentyne chewing gum. The Company has a presence in a number of countries in Southern, Central and Eastern Africa where it invests in growing these markets.

Thailand

Mondelez International (Thailand) Co., Ltd. manufactures and markets Gum, Candy, Chocolates, Biscuits and Powdered Beverages*. We are offering the world’s favorite brands that make Thai people smile, including Halls candy, Dentyne gum, Clorets compressed mints and gum, Cadbury chocolate, Toblerone chocolate, Oreo cookies, Chips Ahoy! cookies and Ritz crackers. We are the market leader in the Gum and Candy categories in the country. Every day, our 1,300 employees nationwide create delicious moments of joy for our consumers, customers, community and colleagues. Our operations in Thailand are located in three sites, namely the office at Q House Lumpini Tower, Bangkok; the Gum and Candy factory in Ladkrabang Industrial Estate, Bangkok; and the Powdered Beverages factory in Khonkaen province.
