Embracing Growth and Challenges, A Journey at Mondelēz with Lana
"The company culture is one of the most important things – as it defines how we feel ourselves here. Mondelēz’s values are very close to my own, and that makes me feel comfortable."

What personal traits or skills contribute to your success in this role?
From a young age, I have had many interests, and my favorite pastime has always been learning something new. I am always open to new discoveries and enjoy taking the initiative, which allows me to develop a variety of skills.
Sitting idle is not for me, as I find it quite boring. That’s why I view difficult challenges as opportunities rather than sources of stress. When I face tricky tasks, I always ask myself – if it is possible to do this, then why cannot I? And I believe that all of us, especially the Mondelēz team, can do anything we want to achieve!
One more thing I have developed precisely during my career in Mondelēz is the value of “Think Like An Owner.” I would say it can also be considered a skill, as it is a feeling you live and work with every day, which defines your every step.
What has been the most challenging role you have assumed at Mondelēz?
During my six years at Mondelēz, I have held four different roles in the Sales and Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) functions. My transition to the CS&L team was particularly challenging, as I had no prior experience in logistics at that time. I recall my first month in this position, which was in December—the toughest time of the year for the entire company. It was filled with stress and long hours. However, during that challenging period, I kept reminding myself that it wouldn’t last forever. I believed that one day, I would become a professional in my field, and everything I was currently stressing about would eventually seem trivial. That is precisely what happened.
Perhaps, the second time is now. This is my first managing role at Mondelēz, and I feel a tremendous responsibility for my amazing team and our results.
How would you define the work culture at Mondelēz?
The company culture is one of the most important things – as it defines how we feel ourselves here. Mondelēz’s values are very close to my own, and that makes me feel comfortable. Grow every day! Do what’s right! Love our consumers and brands! – in my opinion, these three values should be implemented in the culture of every company – no matter how big or small and this is what we should all strive for.
And the other thing I appreciate a lot in our company is that you are the driver of your development. The company gives you dozens of opportunities and the only ceiling in your career is the one you create!
What advice would you offer to someone looking to join Mondelēz in the Demand & Supply areas?
Based on my personal experience, do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. At first sight, working here might seem too labor-consuming, but if you are interested in the processes, you will completely assimilate yourself, understand it, seek mentorship, and always grow every day. You will not regret it for sure!
