Tell us about your role in Manufacturing & Supply Chai (MSC).

Currently, I serve as the Section Manager at the Canada Gladstone Plant, where I’m part of the Operations team overseeing the Flex Line. I take pride in leading the production of iconic products like Mr. Big, Wunderbar, and Crispy Crunch, while also driving initiatives that enhance business profitability. It’s a dynamic role where I’m constantly seeking ways to optimize performance and deliver excellence.

What makes it exciting?

The evolving demand for chocolate products presents an incredible opportunity to boost our margins. This shift requires us to become more efficient in our production processes, ensuring we meet consumer expectations while maximizing profitability. The challenge of innovating and continuously improving keeps the role both exciting and rewarding.

How does a typical day look like?

Each day kicks off with a ‘Labour and Planning’ meeting, where we review the previous day’s performance and set priorities for the day ahead. I also lead the Daily Management system meeting, where my team and I track key KPIs in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. After these meetings, I conduct a Gemba Walk to monitor line performance firsthand, ensuring we stay on track and address any issues promptly. I try to dedicate every morning to being on the shop floor.
