Tobias Britz, People Lead in Bad Fallingbostel, our Home of Philadelphia Fresh Cheese and Miracel Whip. I have been passionate about HR since forever and worked in HR several years in various industries and roles. My background: I have a bachelor’s degree in business law and business psychology and a master’s degree in management & HR. I am also a trained mediator and systemic business coach.

When did you join MDLZ? And why did you choose to join MDLZ?

October 2022, but feels like forever what I think is a very good sign. I was interested in the products and working in one of the largest MDLZ manufacturing plants in the world. I’m still very happy about my decision.

Tell us about Bad Fallingbostel and the plant.

Bad Fallingbostel is located in the triangle between Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen. Our plant is located directly on the A7 highway.

Our plant in Fallingbostel is the biggest meals plant of Mondelēz International worldwide! Our main products are Philadelphia and Miracel Whip. At our Research & Development Pilot Plant, we constantly develop our strong brands even further and drive the development of innovations.

With approximately. 600 employees at the plant, we are one of the biggest employers in the region! You can meet us at the annual apprenticeship Fair “Work+Life Messe” in Fallingbostel if you would like to find out about apprenticeship opportunities at the site.

Why do you like working for Philadelphia?

I am happy every time I am traveling and see our Philadelphia brand in the supermarket or at breakfast in the hotel. It fills me with pride to know that hundreds of people do their best every day at our plant in Fallingbostel to produce such a great product. And I am also a little proud that I can make my small contribution to this.

What makes working at the Bad Fallingbostel plant so unique?

The people! I have worked in various companies and industries, but no two days are the same in a manufacturing plant. That’s great! As part of the Plant Leadership Team, I am close to the people and decisions. That makes the job really exciting. How would you describe the working environment and people culture at the plant and at Mondelēz in general?

With 21 nationalities, we are a very multicultural plant here in Fallingbostel, and I really like that. Our ambition is to be the best employer in the region! As People Lead, I see it as my duty to create a working environment in which everyone can give their best and feels comfortable. At Mondelēz, we have the highest safety standards and can work with modern methods such as Integrated Lean Six Sigma and robots. It's great to see how people are constantly developing and learning from each other in all aspects of life and work.

Why do you continue to choose MDLZ?

I have wonderful leaders and colleagues. We take care of each other, learn from each other, and give each other constant feedback. I feel valued and my voice and decisions carry weight. Not just as a People Lead, but also as the person behind the role, Tobias. Mondelēz is a global company that gives you every opportunity.
