Please explain your role in Engineering, highlighting key responsibilities and how you contribute to MDLZ's purpose and mission.

I am part of the MEU MSC Central Engineering team, specializing in Civil and Utilities. I participated in the Loss Prevention Program and have been responsible for seven plants in the CSE Cluster, including Italy, Spain, and Sweden. Since April 1st, I have been involved in the Płońsk strategic program as the technical program leader, responsible for buildings and utilities.

What is most special about your role?

The most special part is that I contribute and share my experience related to buildings and utilities, civil works, and constructions. I am part of the Płońsk program, building and leading a team dedicated to delivering new buildings, premises, and utilities on time. This ensures the successful installation and commissioning of new production lines to produce more tasty cookies in the MEU region.

What is the most exciting project you've worked on?

The most exciting project was the The Jazz project, which involved the installation and validation of a new 1000 kg/hr roasting nuts line, including the partial relocation of 20-year-old equipment from the Chudovo plant. We redeveloped an old garage into a GMP production area and successfully validated the CCP (critical control point) and nuts optical sorting.

What are some projects that have significantly contributed to your professional growth?

That would be that the Pokrov Risk Rank 1 project, where we covered a 35,000m² plant with an automatic sprinkler system to reach Risk Rank 1 from RR4 within 15 months during the COVID-19 pandemic (Q4/2019 – Q1/2020). This ambitious project, tracked by MSC LT, had a tough deadline, and required maximum flexibility, creativity, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

If you think about the supply chain in 10 years’ time, what do you see?

I envision all plants equipped with Building Management Systems to achieve a high level of digitalization and energy control. All production equipment that Mondelēz intends to install will be assessed both for utility supply requirements and as potential energy sources to minimize CO2 emissions. AI will prepare technical specifications in minutes rather than days and will be used for planning upcoming projects to foresee and evaluate different scenarios with various conditions and assumptions from the start.

Describe a typical day at MDLZ.

In the office:

• Morning: Time for emails.
• From 10 AM: Weekly meetings to receive status updates and set tasks for the week.
• After lunch: Another series of meetings.
• From 4 to 6 PM: Individual work analyzing information to make decisions and send answers and reports.

On-site:

• Morning: Time for DMSs on-site.
• From 10 AM: Personal meetings with colleagues.
• After lunch: Long meetings to find solutions and make decisions.
• From 5 to 6 PM: Individual work to sum up the results.

What advice do you have for someone considering an opportunity with Mondelēz?

Mondelēz is an awesome company, with great career opportunities. I am glowing and growing in the role and its noticeable to those around me. I would say jump at it, it’s great culture and a fantastic place to work.

Mondelēz is an international company that continuously grows, changes, and transforms. This helps you to broaden your mind, increase your professional level, grow, and find new opportunities within the company.

What’s your favorite MDLZ product, and can you share any memorable moments or experiences connected to it?

My favorites include all kinds of Jaffa, Milka Mmmax Peanut Caramel, Fidorka, and Osella cheese.
