Tell me about your career journey at MDLZ

I joined MDLZ in January 2022 as a Junior Brand Manager working with our Cadbury Brand. I am originally from France but working for the Irish market in our Dublin office. This job is my first permanent contract since I graduated at the end of 2020!

What I like the most about my job is the diversity of responsibilities and tasks I have. I work with seasonal campaigns, core range, NPDs, social media… every day is different and comes with new opportunities and projects.

What do you like about working at MDLZ?

Joining MDLZ has given me so many opportunities. Every day I am amazed by all the work everyone is putting in working on our products, and it’s easy to get inspired by my colleagues. I also like that we don’t rest on our laurels but instead are always trying to go bigger and better.

What is the most exciting project that you have worked on?

The Mystery Bars campaign! Having the chance to work on such a fantastic campaign so early in my career has been an amazing experience. Mondelez Ireland won the Marketing Campaign of the Year award at the C-Store awards for this project, and I will forever remember the moment we went on stage to accept the trophy.

Can you give us an example of how you stepped outside your comfort-zone in this role?

Joining the Irish market for my first permanent contract has been a great opportunity, but also a challenge. It was a completely new market to me, with its own rules. I believe in learning from other markets and cultures to grow both personally and professionally, and I look forward to see where this takes me.

What is your biggest learning experience since working with us?

That it is ok to make mistakes, because the most important part is how you react to them. At every stage of one’s career, there are learning opportunities and it is important to learn from each other on a daily basis.

How would you describe the work culture at Mondelēz International and within your function?

Joining MDLZ is joining a team. Your own small team (marketing for me) but also the bigger and wider MDLZ team. Two of our values are “Grow every day” and “Do what’s right” and I can really feel it on a daily basis in my job. We are being guided in our growth while being supported and encouraged by our colleagues.

How do you flex-work?

For a few months now the office is fully open and it’s good to be able to see all my colleagues, and we still have the opportunity to work flexibly. We can work from home, days to work abroad, flexi days… there are lots of opportunities to adapt some workdays when we have some personal imperative.

What advice would you give someone that wants to join MDLZ in the marketing function?

I would tell them to go for it. There are so many exciting opportunities and brands to work on. Working at MDLZ is a really great learning opportunity as well as a challenge which helps me grow professionally and personally!

What is your favourite MDLZ brand?

Even though Cadbury has now a special place in my heart, LU is definitely my favourite brand. I grew up with it and I would never say no to a Napolitain or a Pim’s.
