Sodium and Saturated Fats Reduction
As part of our ambition to offer more options and help people snack mindfully, we continue to reduce the amount of saturated fat and sodium in our biggest-selling global brands and local jewels. In 2021, as part of our IFBA membership, we endorsed the collective developed global sodium reduction commitment with standardized, stepwise voluntary targets to be achieved incrementally by 2025 and 2030.
We are also launching new products and line extensions with less saturated fat and salt without sacrificing the quality, flavor or texture people have grown to trust and love in our brands at Mondelēz International.
To help people lead healthy lives, we focus on improving the nutrition and ingredients of our snacks and creating new well-being offerings as part of our broad portfolio. In essence, this is about reducing or removing what people don’t want and adding more of what they do.
